My maternal grandmother lived with Parkinson’s for more than 40 years. It’s a terrible disease, one that ravages the body but leaves the mind intact. Parkinson’s affected my grandmother for half of the years that she was alive. She is why the charity that I’ve chosen for the Blogathon is The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
The foundation has 4-star rating on Charity Navigator. To date, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research has funded over $92 million in research, either directly or through partnerships. 84 percent of all money donated to the Foundation has been allocated directly to research grants. It is a 501(c)(3) organization.
Starting at 9 a.m. on July 28, I’ll be blogging twice an hour for 24 hours to raise money for research into a cure for Parkinson’s. Any and all donations will be appreciated. In the sidebar, I’ll also be listing links to friends who also are participating in this year’s Blogathon. Donations of Diet Mountain Dew and Twizzlers also will be appreciated; I’ll need the caffeine and sugar to stay awake.

Hello there! My name’s Therese [s/n: teejei] and I’ll be your monitor for Blogathon.
Looking forward to keeping up with your posts. *lol*
